Kind Words from Our Clients
“The healthcare system is so complicated that it is truly a full time job just to try to navigate it all. April is our independent advocate and she recently saved us over $12,000 a year just by reviewing payers and coverage for my father-in-laws medications. She has helped us so many times over the years. She has been absolutely amazing.”
“Without April, we don’t know where we would be right now. She was literally with us every step of the way when our mom ended up in the hospital for an extended period of time. She helped to ensure we were all well informed about her options and her care. When it was time to figure out next steps after discharge, she helped us line up inpatient rehab and eventually, helped us get her back home. ”
“I retained April as my independent advocate when I was approaching retirement. She helped me understand my options for health insurance and helped me find a good financial advisor. Most importantly, April helps me reevaluate my situation each year or as my health and circumstances change, and helps to ensure my primary goal... to age comfortably in place, in my own home, well into my retirement years.”
“Ensuring your choice... your voice... and helping you navigate the who, what, when, and where of care along the way!”

About me…
I am a mom, sister, daughter, friend, and now a Mamaw, who recently moved to Leland, NC to be near my grandson. There is no other role that can hold a candle to being a grandmother but I also have a lifelong passion and calling for helping people.
As a Board Certified Patient Advocate, I am a qualified professional who helps people navigate the complex healthcare system, ensuring their voices are heard, rights are protected, and medical needs are met. I provide personalized, often private support by organizing appointments, reviewing medical bills, resolving insurance disputes, facilitating communication with doctors, and supporting medical decision-making.
I have more than 29 years of healthcare industry experience that I want to use to help you. During those many years, I have gained vast knowledge, both from working for and/or with: Medicare/Medicare Advantage, Inpatient Rehab, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Home Care, Hospice, Assisted Living, etc. In addition, I was a care manager and caregiver for my own mom.
I decided to get my Board Certification as a Patient Advocated so that I could work exclusively for you, without influence form other healthcare entities/organizations. I am confident in what I can bring to you and your family as we navigate you “Silver Years” together.
I look forward to working with you and tailoring my expertise to you individual needs!
